Anti-cellulite at home


Approximately 85% of women experience a cellulite problem and it's accumulated commonly in the thighs. The main causes of cellulite are unhealthy lifestyle, hormones, loss of collagen, poor circulation, poor lymphatic drainage, tissues inflammation, age. It forms when fatty tissue deep in the skin pushes up against connective tissue. This creates the dimpled appearance that cellulite is infamous for.

Here are the most effective and easy ways of home treatments for cellulite:

1. Regular Massage:

Massage may reduce cellulite by improving lymphatic drainage. It can also help stretch your skin tissue and this will help stretch out cellulite dimples too. 2. Coffee Scrub:

1/2 cup grounded coffee

1/4 cup almond or olive oil

Mix them together and rub gently on the problem areas in circular motion for few minutes, leave the mixture on your skin for 10 minutes then rinse it off. The direction MUST be towards heart from down to up. Use it 2-3 times per week.

Coffee grounds may reduce bumpiness, stimulate blood circulation and promote lymph flow. 

3. Sea Salt Scrub:

1/2 cup sea salt

some almond or olive oil to make a paste

Crash the sea salt in small pieces as sugar. Use in the same way as the coffee scrub. Avoid using too hot water as it has the tendency to dehydrate the skin. Use it 1-2 times per week. 

Sea salt scrub helps to firm and tighten the skin, it is good for lifting sagging skin, also has high magnesium content which increases the cells turnover. It will keep your skin looking youthful for longer.

4. Exercises:

5. Diet and life style change:

Green tea - aid weight loss by seeding up the metabolism, inhibiting fat absorption and aiding glucose regulation. It contains theobromine which stimulates the release of stored fats in the body. Three to five cups a day will make a difference.

Whole Grains - brown pasta, brown rice and whole grain cereals can aid wight loss as a source of slow-release energy. They are also high in antioxidants, battling against cellulite causing toxins by helping the body to get rid of them. At least one bowl a day in your diet for a better effect.

Water - one of the most common causes of cellulite are the toxins we consume and inhale. They reduce the skin elasticity and slow the circulation. Drinking plenty of water is essential for this, so make sure you drink at least eight glasses a day and avoid toxin rich alcohol and soft drinks.

Oranges - they are great for your body. They contain vit C and methoxylated bioflavonoids which improve the blood circulation and correct the cell imbalances that may lead to cellulite.

Berries - raspberries, blueberries or blackberries are particularly good for helping your body getting rid of toxins. Put them in your cereal at morning and enjoy the great taste.

Garlic - it's well known for helping to lower blood cholesterol as well as being a great for the immune system as a booster and a natural antibiotic. This also aids the body to flush out the toxins.

Tomatoes - they are rich in vit C which helps to keep the skin firm and taut by aiding collagen production.

Apricots - fibre rich and high in vit A and C.
